Show and Tell
As part of the daily structure we hold a show and tell period early in each session and invite the children to bring something into Preschool which corresponds to the weekly categories below. They can then talk in a group about their item and gain confidence in their abilities. The item doesn't have to be a favourite but of course the more familiar it is the easier is is for the the child to talk about to their friends. For example, for the letter 'A' they could bring in an Aeroplane or Ambulance or it could be a teddy called Alfie, a character from a favourite series, anything at all. Even if children don't want to talk about the item they still appear to enjoy bringing things in to show their friends. This term we will be using the theme of the alphabet letters and therefore ask that your child brings something beginning with a specific letter each week as follows:
Week Commencing Theme Notes
7th June U
14th June V
21st June W and X
28th June Y and Z
